Again, if HC think safety measures are ok and satisfied with contractor what hope do we have for remaining works. Safety commission and police notified 5th August as this could have caused a serious injury

Thank you for your further report.
We have reviewed the matter raised and, as outlined in our previous correspondence, Pembury Circus remains an active construction site where traffic and pedestrian management arrangements need to be adjusted throughout the working day as the works progress.
The contractor remains responsible for maintaining safe traffic and pedestrian management arrangements while works are taking place, with Council officers continuing to oversee the works. Where a specific safety issue or defect is identified, this is raised with the contractor and addressed as appropriate.
We will continue to monitor the traffic management arrangements for the remaining duration of the works and take action where any specific safety issues are identified.
