Rubbish abandoned outside empty property at 4 Alcester Crescent E5

When the property changed hands last year a quantity of clothing and other items was left bagged up in the front area of the property (see photographs). The property is currently unoccupied and the bagged items have not been removed, creating a potential fire hazard and public health hazard. There are families living in both adjoining properties (2&6)including children who are at risk from any potential fire or public health hazard. A planning application ref. 2016/1870 in respect of the property has been lodged with the Council, The Council's Environmental Enforcement Team were informed of the situation on 8th December 2016.

  • The Council responded on 11th January advising that a Community Protection Warning Notice had been sent to the property owner instructing them to clear the rubbish within 14 days. The property owner complied.
