Streetlight shining directly into basement flat bedroom

Sent to Hackney Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8837969.

The streetlight outside number 76 Forest Road is very bright and shines directly into the basement bedroom (76A). This is causing disruption to our sleep. Please could a shield be installed onto the streetlight or the light be dimmed?

  • SR forwarded an instruction to the Council's Street Lighting Contractor on 04/04/26 to adjust the Lantern Optics of Street Light 38 in Forest Road E8. These adjustments should minimise the amount of light trespass into the property No.76A. The job should be completed in 28 days.
