Abandoned Vehicle Blocking Footpath

Reported via desktop in the Abandoned Vehicles category anonymously at 15:29, Thursday 29 January 2026

Sent to Hackney Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8796140.

Difficult for parents with strollers and individuals with mobility challenges to navigate this area. It forces pedestrians, including those with baby strollers to move onto the road in order to get past the front of the vehicle.

  • The interior of the vehicle's cab is in an alarming state, completely overrun by blue mould. Every surface is covered, with the seats, dashboard, and windows visibly stained and saturated. The mould creates a foul odor, making the environment not only unsightly but also potentially hazardous to health. It is evident that the vehicle has been abandoned for quite some time, contributing to this unsanitary condition.

  • This vehicle has been parked in the same location for over a year. It has never moved.

I kindly request that the council take immediate action to remove the vehicle and restore safe passage on the footpath.

  • This vehicle is parked alarmingly close to a junior school, which has created considerable difficulty for parents and guardians trying to navigate the area. Daily, families are forced to maneuver around the obstruction, adding unnecessary stress and concerns for safety, especially with young children in tow.
