The new restrictions for cars on Chatsworth Road are causing absolute gridlock for residents trying to get to the A12. This will put anyone off from visiting family in the area. I have spent an absolute fortune in a cab today trying to get out of the area.

We understand that the new restrictions on Chatsworth Road may have increased journey time for some residents. These measures were introduced as part of the wider Chatsworth Road Liveable Neighbourhood schemes to reduce through-traffic and create a safer and healthier environment for everyone living in the area.
Access to the A12 from this area is still possible via alternative routes such as: Glenarm Road-Median Road-Urswick Road-Homerton High Street-Kenworth Road -A12.
We appreciate that this may add time to your journey during peak periods, we are actively monitoring traffic movements in the area as part of the ongoing review of the scheme.
