  • Dear Sir/Madam

    Thank you for your email regarding the Darenth Road and Portland Avenue junction. We appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention and for offering your valuable suggestions.

    Hackney Council is committed to enhancing the borough’s street environment, as evidenced by our significant investments in traffic management and road safety. We are currently reviewing your suggestions and will consider it as we assess potential improvements for the junction.

    Once we have completed the assessment, we will have clear evidence that if a traffic measure is required, we will include this junction in our future Road Safety programme, subject to funding availability and resources for this area. Please be aware that all funding for the 2025/26 financial year is presently allocated and has been committed to schemes and projects.
