Hoxton Hound obstructing Geffrye street
Reported via desktop in the Highways Obstructions category anonymously at 20:07, Wed 9 July 2025
Sent to Hackney Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7835586.
The Hoxton Hound is obstructing the busy walking and cycling section of Geffrye Street approaching Hoxton Station. Two large A-boards are put out daily, and recently extra chairs and tables have started appearing. Does the pub have permission for all this?

The Hoxton Hound is still putting out two large A-boards every day, obstructing this busy walking and cycling connection. The pub's temporary outdoor seating area already juts way out into the normal width of the street. It really isn't right for it to be allowed to take even more of our valuable public space.
The local authority's policy as stated here is clear... https://hackney.gov.uk/ highway-obstructions "no A-boards are allowed on the public highway in Hackney"
