Updates

  • Clearing this is probably the responsibility of the Canal and River Trust: https://canalrivertrust.org.uk/ contact-us/ contacting-your-local-office/ london-waterways (If you have evidence as to the identity of the offender, contact council privately, as they do prosecutions, even when the tip is on private land.)

    Not from the council.

  • Interesting point. That might explain why it has not been cleared.

Let's see if Hackney clear it, now they have been alerted. If they don't, the wind will probably soon blow onto Hackney land anyway, or into the canal.

  • The canal and river trust were indeed the right people to contact. They have cleared the dumped rubbish.
