Not enough public toilets

Reported via mobile anonymously at 08:14, Friday 28 June 2024

Sent to Hackney Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6165401.

10,000 of people at London fields there is not enough toilets. People are peeing in the trees and park, 45 min wait & outrageous queues. Due to the high volume of people here in the summer I’d ask you put in extra portable toilets urgently! This is awful

Updates

  • Please see below the response from our Parks Department - London Fields already has more public toilet provision than all other parks in Hackney (many of which have no public toilet provision), and unfortunately it is not realistic or affordable to put more permanent or temporary toilet provision in place in London Fields for the small number of days a year when it might be necessary.

We have Enforcement Officers patrolling London Fields to try and prevent this unacceptable behaviour by a small majority of park users.
