Updates

  • Thank you for contacting us regarding the new 'KEEP CLEAR' road markings that were recently installed at the Queensbridge Road / Laurel Street junction.

We are aware of the increase in traffic flows at Laurel Street following the implementation of the London Fields LTN. In February 2022, the Council made a commitment to develop proposals that will stop through traffic using Laurel Street to get to Queensbridge Road from Dalston Lane. The design process for these proposals has already started and these will be passed onto residents for comments once they are approved.

The 'KEEP CLEAR' road markings were installed as interim measures to make it easier for traffic from Laurel Street gain access onto Queensbridge Road while the permanent measures are being developed.

I hope this has helped explain why the KEEP CLEAR road markings were installed.
