Pot hole shoreditch high street

Sent to Hackney Council 1 minute later
Hello, I have been complaining for over 9 months about this pothole. First to Hackney Council, who say it's nothing to do with them, and for the last 8 months to Transport For London, who supposedly are in charge of these Red Routes.
Still nothing has been done and no one in their office seems to know why not, despite the fact that when buses drive over this pothole it shakes nearby buildings to pieces.
I have e-mailed and telephoned TfL over a dozen times and so far spoken with Jude, Chloe, John Macintyre and Serena, who are all friendly enough on the phone - yet they just will not help to resolve the problem.
I received an e-mail on 11/03/2009 from Shakirat Oluwa, Customer Service Advisor – Transport for London
'Surface Transport Communications' explaining that TfL had identified the manhole cover (and pothole) as belonging to Virgin Media.
Since then nothing.
The pothole is even worse. My building is still suffering from the vibrations of buses driving over it night and day.
I have been complaining to TfL since June 2008 about this problem.
I remember complaining to them about four broken street lamps on Holywell Lane a acouple of years ago and that took approximately one year of constant e-mails before they fixed the problem.
Hopefully they will force Virgin Media to accept responsibility for the state of their property on public highways.

Absolutely nothing has been done by TfL to fix this hole.
In fact it is worse than ever (I will post another photo when I get the chance) and it continues to cause the nearby buildings to tremble and shake every time each the buses roll over it dozens of times daily ... day in and day out.
TfL for some reason refuse to maintain the roads they are responsible for. They are very polite on the telephone but one gets the distinct feeling that as soon as the phone call is over then the complaint is screwed up and thrown in the nearest waste paper basket.

Finally, after more than 1 year of complaining about this pothole, it has been fixed!
Not quite sure whether it was TfL or Virgin Media that accepted responsibility in the end but I am happy to say it has been fixed and has made a huge difference to the surrounding properties. When the buses pass by they no longer rattle the very bones of the buildings.
