Bollard at end of Salcombe Road Taken Again

Reported via mobile in the Non-Parking related road markings category anonymously at 11:47, Thursday 6 April 2023

Sent to Hackney Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4405685.

As predicted following the theft of the yellow padlock (notified earlier) the bollard at the Salcombe Road end of the one-way system has been taken again. It seems Hackney Council is incapable of finding an effective solution to this problem.

Updates

  • Thank you for your report.

The Council will be installing permanent cameras, however the lead in time for an enforcement camera can be considerable and are highly in demand.

As an interim measure, we have requested the Council's Parking Enforcement Team to increase their presence at this location using a mobile camera until a fixed camera can be obtained.

We hope that this will provide a lasting solution to this problem.
