Ice in road & footways

Sent to Hackney Council less than a minute later

Please can you arrange for your gritting trucks and a team of street cleaners to salt Yoakely Road N16 as it is very icy/ slippery on both carriageway /footways. Please attend as its dangerous when trying to walk home with shopping bags.

    To keep our streets safe, we get a daily forecast from the Met Office which gives us predictions of the possibility of freezing road temperatures and snow and when those conditions might happen.

    During severe weather conditions, we do activate the Council's gritting programme which prioritises clearing busier roads and locations as soon as it’s safe to do so. If you would like further information on this matter, please visit the following link regarding gritting.
