Rubbish on roof of council garage and in front of garage

Reported via mobile in the Littering category anonymously at 23:54, Wed 23 November 2022

Sent to Hackney Council less than a minute later

There are council owned car garages in front of our building. Rubbish is thrown on top as can be seen in the picture. In front of the garage there is a brick wall where rubbish is regularly dumped and street cleaners ignore. The problem has been months.

  • Nothing has been done to address this problem and there is even more rubbish now dumped there. There are bags of shoes and food waste which have been added. The street cleaners walk right past it even though this is council property. This is a year round problem.

  • This has been 6 weeks and the rubbish has not been touched. It has also gotten worse as you can see from the photo. This is council property and the street cleaners walk past it on a daily basis but do not touch it. This requires regular cleaning as it is an ongoing problem.

  • This is yet another update. The rubbish has expanded and is now spread across the entire area. It’s a terrible eye sore, t leads to anti social behaviour with people urinating there and leaving their rubbish. This is council property and it is outrageous that it is totally neglected.

  • The problem continues to be exacerbated the long it is left and nothing has been done since I reported this 2 months ago.
