Restricted view when pulling out of Christie road onto cassland road

A bin has recently been placed on the corner of Christie road that leads onto Cassland road. The view to pull out onto cassland road is already restricted because of parked vehicles, especially vans that park outside the shops. The bin has made it increasingly difficult to see oncoming traffic and more dangerous as you have to move further forward onto cassland road to see, this often leads to harsh braking from either oncoming traffic or myself as a driver because the view is so restricted. It is even more dangerous because there is a bus stop there and pedestrians can't be seen. Prior to the addition of the bin, it has always been difficult to safely turn onto cassland road because of the restricted view due to large parked vehicle as mentioned above. I would like to suggest the installation of a convex mirror to improve road safety so that drivers can see oncoming traffic and pedestrians to be able to pull out safely. This has been an issue for quite a few years but the placement of the bin has increased the problem.
Thank you for reporting the restricted view you are experiencing when entering Cassland Road from Christie Road. The Council has acknowledged this problem, as a result, we recently improved the visibility and sightlines at all the side roads junctioned with Cassland Road by building out the pavement and adjusting the give way markings which made it possible for drivers to see passed the parked vehicles. Our Waste Management section is reviewing the placement of the bin, as this may be contributing to the obstruction you are experiencing.
