More and more residents are ignoring the no-entry sign at the top of the road to try and secure parking before others. This is very upsetting for us residents that abide by traffic laws. This has been going on for months, with more and more each day. Why install a no-entry sign if it isn't going to be enforced and policed. You can easily identify which cars have done this as they will be facing the wrong way when parked.
Thank you for contacting Hackney Council regarding residents ignoring the no-entry sign on Olinda Road. Your Enforcement team has been made aware and will review the location for further action. We are investigating and considering the possibility of installing a fixed camera at this location. Fixed cameras are currently in high demand due to the increased number of traffic filters and can take a long time to install so I can't promise that they will install one at Olinda Road in the near future but the location will receive the attention and consideration it deserves.
