Reported via mobile anonymously at 09:54, Sun 27 March 2022

Sent to Hackney Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3418564.

This has been reported several times. One of the restaurants on the ground floor of the building dumps fat waste into the sewage drain every night. Hackney council is their landlord. Please do something about this.

  • Hi there, following on from this, the ground floor of 11 Ashwin Street is flooded again with sewage water. This has happened multiple times before and last time was found o be because of one of the restaurants in the ground floor of the building (Tortilla, Pizza Union or Wing Stop) have been pouring fat/oil down the drain. We were never told which restaurant it was but I think it was Wing Stop. Hackney Council are their landlords - please help! I/my neighbours are also contacting our building management company Remus (out of hours contact 01722 441962) and Thames Water. NB I’m away for the weekend but one of my neighbours alerted me to the issue.

  • Exact location of the drain is as in the original photo uploaded - in the corner of Ashwin St where the road bends round, directly outside the back entrance of WingStop.
