Traffic camera tampered

Hello. Someone has tampered with the Oldfield LTN camera again. This is happening way to often. As soon as the council comes to fix it, someone comes back and pushes it upward to the sky, so it can’t catch cars crossing the LTN barriers.
This is very upsetting for the people who feel confident using a safer street for cycling and walking, especially with our families with young kids. This is really unacceptable antisocial behaviour. The people driving through also show no consideration to others road users. It feels dangerous and aggressive.
Can the council please find a more permanent solution?

This is still broken/ vandalised. It looks like the cables are being unplugged aswell. I have seen 2 vehicles drive through here the last 2 times I’ve been passing and they have both been speeding recklessly. One a flash red bmw and another a grey Vw transporter. This really needs fixing and getting fines out to these selfish people.

Hi, since the camera has now been removed - this has now become a known cut through to avoid the bus gate to get to the lower half of church st. As such this LTN is giving a false sense of safety to people and children in the area, as they feel that zone between the flower pots is safe - it isn’t. Please reinstall a camera (that’s a bit more robust) soon. If you don’t I fear there will be an accident here very soon.
