Hi am very upset with how cars and motorcycles are parking on my road taking up to car spaces and motorcycles taking a hole car space to park. Motorcycles do not pay anything for parking bikes pay £30 pounds a year i pay £130 just like the rest of my neighbours.it not far how you charge vehicle a higher rate then other motor vehicles.i have to park my car 600 yards from my house and I have a disabled mum.if u don't put road marking for parking space.and starts charging motorcycles to park.i will start a partition around hackney Borough and writing a letter to hackney mayor.this is getting very stressful for me. After working 12 hours shift and come home to find no parking.is crazy.this need to be addressed soon as.if your going to charge us £130 a year to park.then parking restrictions should be extended to 10pm or it should be drop down to 10am just like other areas in London. Thanks

  • Hi,

Thank you for your message. I can confirm that Parking Services has approved plans in place to introduce motorcycle parking permits across the borough.

The implementation process is underway and we hope to provide updates on our progress through our webpage here: https://hackney.gov.uk/ motorcycleparking
