  • The same non residents were present from 16:45 until 02:50 in the morning of 15 December making a constant loud and frightening disturbance, drinking, smoking cannabis, screaming, playing music on loud speakers, lighting fires and candles underneath and beside other peoples properties. The police were called at 22:05 and attended in their car for a few minutes at 22:50, but the two non residents moved 50 metres away towards the canal only to then came back again to the very same spot from 23:00 onwards to continue disturbing residents who could not sleep for the intimidating noise, smell and disturbance. Urinating also in full public view and frightening residents including infants and minors. This continued disturbance was reported again to the police at 01:50, met police reference 514/151221 and even after the Police Said they would attend again the noise continued. The two non residents, who live elsewhere nearby were drunk, rowdy and loud outside the front door of the residents unable to sleep because of the frightening and intimidating noise. They finally left shouting eventually at 02:50 leaving unattended burning candles and lots of glass, drink and drug user debris uncleared. The people in question are known locals who the police have previously cautioned. They could be viewed by the council’s CCTV cameras. This has to stop.
