Are these double yellow lines accurate?

Reported via desktop in the Parking related road markings category anonymously at 16:28, Wed 24 November 2021

Sent to Hackney Council less than a minute later

I feel like these double yellow lines outside 9 Bethune Road N16 are not accurate, And don't see a reason why it should be there.

100's of people have driveways and I never see you marking double yellow lines by every driveway.

If it is accurate please can you tell me the reason why it was given.

Many have received PCN for parking there.

  • The double yellow lines have been checked and match the existing traffic orders.

With regards to why the lines were implemented, unfortunately, as the lines have been in place since at least 2015 those records no longer exist.

With regards to the comments that other dropped kerbs do not have double yellow lines. Bethune Road amongst others in the area are due to be included in a new parking zone at that time all existing dropped kerb access points will have double yellow lines implemented and therefore no further action will be taken in relation to these double yellow lines.
