Noise Nuisance- Re report number 302509

Reported via mobile anonymously at 05:32, Sun 26 September 2021

Sent to Hackney Council less than a minute later

This morning I reported a noise nuisance re number 3025039 at 5:01am

- This problem appears to happen a this time each year - We have children who are affect along with ourselves - A marquee is set up to the left of the play area at the back of the first block of flats in Wigan house. As soon as I saw the marquee I knew we were in for another horrendous night - the rave/party started at approx 7:30pm and is ongoing - the DJ continues by shouting out the name of the person who is celebrating her birthday. - I heard the music stop three times and this would appear to be when an officers attended and immediately after the officer leaves the music is turned up louder. We live opposite the flats and the noise is horrendous. I do not know how the tenants / leaseholders who live in the block are coping - when the officer attended the second or third time the police should have been called and the equipment ceased and taken away. The tenant / organisers and person responsible for the music should be fined for breaking the agreements signed with the council. - I will take a picture of the setup for reference

How is is possible for the council to allow this level of intrusion and noise disruption to continue and residents to be affected for hours

What assurance do we have that this disruption will not happen again and action will be taken?
