Extensive fly-tipping by public access bins
Reported via desktop in the Fly-Tipping category anonymously at 14:46, Tue 31 August 2021
Sent to Hackney Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2968935.
The communal bins for Emerald Mews residents (160a Albion Road) have public access from Albion Road, and therefore seem to often be a target for fly-tipping. Over the last few days (date today is 31/8/21), people have dropped off more and more rubbish (garden waste, full suitcases, and full bin liners), the contents of which I'm not aware of. There is now a small van load of rubbish, and too much for residents to absorb into the existing bins. I haven't seen the fly-tippers themselves, so it seems likely it's happening after dark. As this is a repeat problem, though on a larger scale this time, perhaps we need to consider a sign from Hackney Council to act as a deterrent?
