Hello again. some, not all of the litter was removed, thank you. however, ALL of the poppies we had planted in the tree pit to brighten the street and provide wildlife habitat were also removed by the council. please see attached before and after photo, do officers really not know the difference between litter and plants? it is really disappointing that this has happened, the whole point about reporting the litter was to improve the appearance of the street. we care about the appearance of the street, that is why we bother to grow plants in the tree pits and get upset when litter is thrown on it and around the streets, it is really disappointing that the council has destroyed our efforts, the poppies would have flowered all summer long and many people and children would stop and look at the flowers. really disappointed in this service and the ability of Hackney Council to actually look after the borough’s streets properly.
