Antisocial behaviour / H & Sons / 86 Chatsworth Road

Reported via mobile anonymously at 21:52, Wed 19 May 2021

Sent to Hackney Council less than a minute later

The owners of H & Sons 86 Chatsworth Road have made Chatsworth road unsafe due to their constant aggressive and antisocial behaviour. Drunk men scream and fight each other at least 2 nights a weeks every week, they play music directly at the buildings for hours until 3am and have made it unsafe for my partner to come back alone due to their aggressive behaviour. This has been happening for 3 years and we have contacted the council and police numerous times to no avail. This has completely ruined the street.

  • The owners of this off license have been told by the council and police to stop anti social behaviour but they have continued to stay open until 2am many nights, blast loud music, yell and drink in front of the off license. The most recent events were Sunday 19th of September when they re-opened the off license at 2am to 4am and played music and yelled at each other, ruining our sleep and severely affecting the start to our work week. Tonight they have been blasting music for a solid hour, drinking and yelling and creating an unsafe atmosphere.

  • The unsafe behaviour and drinking outside continues. Not only is the loud music disruptive and unpredictable, the anti social behaviour is threatening and unsafe for neighbours, particularly women and young children. I have been personally harassed by people who hang around outside the newsagents with the owners whilst trying to get into my flat with young child after school.

  • The H & Sons Off License is playing extremely loud music from external outdoor speakers that are directed across the street at residential flats for over an hour now while there are drunken men sitting on the street, smoking and causing an unsafe atmosphere. This problem has still not been dealt with after multiple reports to the council and the police and it is causing issues with myself and my partners mental health due to poor quality of sleep, fear from their aggressive behaviour, fighting and shouting and the dangerous crowd of men who gather outside of the off license until the early hours of the morning.
