  • I would also like to offer my thoughts on this. Even though I do understand that there are some Dire situations for some of us with regards to jobs, finance, income housing etc I do not think it is acceptable for people to set up camp in this part or Hackney. Sadly there has been an ENORMOUS INCREASE in the amount of rubbish on my walk from the corner of the A12 slip road to Victoria Park ( the traffic lights on Wick Road ) outside the gates to Victoria Park , where The Harriers Running club is. I walk this route EVERY DAY taking my dog to the park and it is simply unacceptable for this amount or rubbish and crap ( yes that type) to be littering the wood. On warm days it has also become very smart, sadly as I'm sure people are using the wood as their own personal toilet after all where else would they go? It saddens me that I have to report this to you as I feel for the people who are forced to set up camp and live here but the smell and rubbish is becoming overbearing and the threat of being over ridden with Vermin especially into the surrounding areas such as Bushberry Road & Benn Street is increasing as every day continues to pass. This is simply becoming unacceptable which is why we feel the need to inform you. They are positioned between the A12 slip road going North and the bridge , where the traffic lights in Wick Road and Cardigan Terrace are. I would implore you to look into this at your EARLIEST CONVENIENCE and please don't hesitate to contact me. Yours sincerely, Katy Daborn
