Ivy in tree crown beginning to strangle tree

Sent to Hackney Council less than a minute later

The street tree outside #31 Ufton Rd has an Ivy which has completely eugulfed the trunk and is now well into the crown. There is a private tree at #5 which has been completely engulfed and appears dead due to same problem. I would not want to see this street tree suffer the same fate. Can we please have the ivy substantially reduced to avoid harm to the tree.
