Abandoned car

Reported via mobile in the Abandoned Vehicles category anonymously at 15:35, Mon 30 November 2020

Sent to Hackney Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2411981.

Moderated by Hackney Council at 07:33, Tue 1 December 2020

This black BMW has abandoned in the car park off Buttermere Walk E83TA, by someone who does not live on the estate for over a year.

Over the past year it has over 100 hundred of PCN issued to the vehicle but not been removed from the car park. It is taking up a Estate residents parking bay without paying and it is impacting on other residents who are having to look for parking elsewhere on the estate.

The car also does not have MOT, Road Tax or Insurance and it’s left in public car park. I need some early actions before it becomes a Social nuisance and our community spaces being used flagrantly.

  • What is happening as it’s been several months and I have reported this vehicle several times to be removed but to no avail. This black BMW 1 Series abandoned my estate car park by a local drug dealer who engages in Class A Drug taking and dealings daily both during the day and nights. They are also causing ASB as other drug dealers pull up in bikes or cars to supply or collect their supplies. Due to the slow response from Hackney Abandoned Vehicles dept I will be shortly writing to Hackney Chief Executive, Local MP and Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government.
