Great big Oak Tree outside my home

Reported in the Shrub Pruning category anonymously at 10:25, Tue 1 September 2020

Sent to Hackney Council less than a minute later

I am a resident of the London Borough of Hackney (LBH) and I have an gigantic Oak Tree directly outside my house 119 Dunlace Road London E5 0NG in fact the tree is directly outside my bedroom window at the front of the house. I have been waiting for the Council to trim the tree because they have carried out this task in the past.

I sent an e-mail to Rupert Bentley-Walls on the 10 September 2018 because this was the name I was provided with from the LBH.

I was sent acknowledgement that the e-mail was received but there was no reply after that.

At the time I sent the e-mail I was complaining that I am struggling to sweep the leaves out of my front yard when the leaves fall in the autumn/winter because of my lower back pain and sciatica.

Two years on my health has considerably worsened where I am now disabled and I have limited mobility.

I cannot physically continue to sweep the leaves outside my front yard because it has a negative impact on my back whereby I will suffer immense back pain/sciatica as a result.

I also have other serious health issues and I am under a specialist consultant so this tree is causing me anxiety because I don't know how I going to manage keeping the leaves out of the front yard when they start to fall.

I am aware we need the trees to provide us with oxygen and if I was able bodied to sweep the yard daily when the leaves start to fall I would but I not in a position to do that anymore.

Therefore if you could you kindly get back to me as soon as practicably possible I would extremely appreciate it.

Kind regards

Mulinda Xavier LBH Resident
