Poor recent reinstatement of trench on Shenfield Street

Reported in the Roads/highways category by Trevor Parsons at 02:41, Thu 28 November 2019

Sent to Hackney Council 4 minutes later

A poor job has been done of reinstating a trench which was recently excavated across the width of Shenfield Street at its junction with Jerrold Street. The new material is uneven and fails to reach the level of the surrounding carriageway, and the double yellow line markings have not been reinstated.

I'm including a photo of an new inspection cover on the footway adjacent to and associated with the trench, in case it helps provide a clue about the nature of the work, though admittedly the markings on the cover are rather generic.

Updates

  • Thanks for the quick attention to this problem. The yellow lines have now been restored and the surface, though still not perfectly reinstated, is much better than it was.
