Pedestrian access along Nazrul Street ridiculously narrowed

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category by Trevor Parsons at 00:56, Fri 8 February 2019

Pedestrian access has rightly been maintained along Nazrul Street while construction goes on. But the access is beginning to verge on the theoretical.

As my photo shows, the space left for walking between the water-filled barriers and the hoarding is now ridiculously narrow.

Obviously it's convenient for the contractors to have as much room as possible on the carriageway, but this should not be at the expense of reasonable pedestrian access. An able-bodied person can barely get down here, let alone someone using a wheelchair or a parent with a buggy.
