Graffiti all over the front of this iconic building

Sent to Hackney Council 1 minute later
The Hackney Empire is visited by people from all over London and by pupils from many schools. Hackney Empire staff say that the council has to clean the graffiti because it's a listed building. It's a local disgrace and has been like this for months. The council has taken no action. The building received money from local residents and the lottery fund to renovate it so it's particularly upsetting that it is now being neglected.
Absolutely delighted to discover that when I went to the Hackney Empire on Saturday evening with friends and family from outside London, all the graffiti had been cleared off and I could be proud of the building and of Hackney. Thank you to Fix My Street and to Hackney Council for taking such very prompt action and I will report in future, rather than seething with shame and fury!!
