Damaged/missing bollard on island in Shoreditch High Street

The north-facing retroreflective self-righting bollard on the new island in the middle of the pedestrian crossing on Shoreditch High Street south of Rivington Street has been struck and broken off.

  • I passed this location recently and noticed that the damaged street furniture has been fixed. I'm grateful to Transport for London for sorting it out.

    The newly installed islands and associated street furniture will continue to be vulnerable to over-run by incompetent motor vehicle operators, but this has to be balanced against the advantages which the islands offer for people crossing Shoreditch High Street and cycling between Rivington Street and Calvert Avenue.
