Dangerous junction no safe crossing for pedestrians

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 21:43, Mon 30 July 2018

Sent to Hackney Council 2 minutes later

Walking south along Green Lanes on the east pavement you must cross the entrance to the West Reservoir Centre and Castle Climbing Centre. While the rest of the junction has seen improvement, no facility has been included for the safe crossing of this side access road. Vehicles turn left very quickly from Green Lanes and to get any view up the road you have to stand near the edge of the pavement. There are no pedestrian crossing lights and it’s impossible to see whether traffic from any direction is stopped at a red light or about to proceed. The pavement is also very narrow around the junction and particularly hard to navigate with children. It is also an access point for the New River Path and, as such, really needs to be more pedestrian-friendly.
