House shakes as traffic goes up speed hump

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 20:21, Thu 1 February 2018

Sent to Hackney Council 3 minutes later

The top storey of our house shakes violently as cars and buses speed past a 'road hump' (see image) installed in 2017 for the new cycle super highway, outside the Scolt Head. It doesn't help that all manners of vehicles, particularly buses, do not slow down at this 'slope'. We wake up several times in the night to frightening, earthquake-like jolts, every day of the week. We do not use the top floor until bed time anymore, so not to experience the jolts. Worse yet is that we are getting concerned about the impact to our house's structure. There are cracks in the ceiling literally everywhere in the top room facing the street. Please help as the constant jolts are extremely unsettling.
