Customer has left vehicle at garage for over three years

Sent to Hackney Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 10175856.

A customer left their car at my workshop for repair almost three years ago. I have contacted them numerous times via phone and recorded-delivery letters, and got no response. The customer owes us for the repair, too. I need to take possession of the car.

    Sadly we can not assist under the current legislation as the vehicle is in a private garage, and the Council has no authority to authorise possession of a vehicle. We strongly recommend you get legal advise about recovering your costs, which may include taking possession of the car.
